Strategic Career Planning Consultant
GCQA’s SCPC certification recognizes individuals who have advanced knowledge and skills in career planning. Not only have they completed specialized training in career development, but SCPCs have extensive experience in applying knowledge to help diverse client populations with a variety of needs.
SCPC Competencies
Application Requirements
Education
College degree or above (exceptions: CDA, IAEVG, GCDF and more credential holders).
OR High School Diploma or some higher education (Must have a minimum of 5 years or 8,000 hours of Work Experience).
Training Requirement
Complete SCPC training in all required SCPC competency modules Alternative: Applicants who have completed training in identified SCPC competency areas may request review and receive a possible waiver for some modules.
Post Competency Training Career Assistance Experience
Applicants with college degree complete 200 hours following all module training OR Applicants with high school degree complete 500 hours following all module training.
Case Study Component
2 Case Presentations Illustrating Diverse Skills with Multiple Clients.
Application Life
Applications must be completed within two years of initial submission.
Certification Maintenance
Careers and the way people work continue to evolve, and it is important to SCPCs to continue to develop their skills in order to best assist clients and future clients. GCQA recognizes different learning strategies and has developed the following as options for SCPCs to incorporate new concepts or skills, reexamine fundamental training and skills, and consider other types of services or skills for personal career enhancement.
